Mother's back in the hospital again. Since my sister was sick, I was the only one who could go to the hospital after the assisted living facility called to tell her that they were taking Mother there. Of course, this would be a time when I'd left my cell phone in the car to recharge overnight and my sister kept calling my fax line. Still, things were sorted out and I headed to the hospital about 8pm... after changing back from sleep clothes to blue jeans and a sweatshirt.

She was complaining of pain in her left side, but had not fallen. Lab work came back negative. X-rays showed nothing. Her discomfort grew to pain and then screaming and saying it hurt to breathe.

A CAT scan showed a blood clot in her left lung.

I went home after 1am and I was driving slowly and cautiously because I was, imho, an impaired driver... sleep-deprived.

Today, I have to work because (1) I've already turned in my time and attendance report and (2) we have equipment scheduled to be delivered and I need to be here for that.

I don't know if I'll make it to practices this week or not. I think it's going to be a little crazy around here.
