Second Guessing

Last night was my daughter's first bout of the roller derby season. Titled, "It's a Bout Time", the Naptown Roller Girls, a.k.a. The Tornado Sirens, took on the Kalamazoo Danger Dames. The final score was 164 to 24.
I have never been so bored watching a roller derby.
The girls have learned the rules and learned to skate well together as a team. They blocked effectively, getting their jammer out front first, and then that jammer would lap through the pack and call off the jam the instant there was any possibility of the other team scoring points. The 24 points scored occurred the rare times the Danger Dames got a jammer out front first and/or we had a jammer out due to fouling.
At one point, one of the jammers scored a record-setting (I think) 5 Grand Slams in a single bout.
And the crowd was still bored.
