Testing the elbow

Since all my club members are on vacation or at the summer nationals, I went to the other club in town to fence a light workout.
(1) I needed to fence as I'm still slowly coming back from the knee injury and haven't yet recovered the ability to move easily and/or adjust my speed of movement.
(2) I needed to know how badly this tennis elbow was going to bother me at the SN. Since I'm only fencing one event and don't realistically expect to do much fencing, I think I'll be okay.
(3) I needed practice.
These are sabre fencers who have been fencing (for the most part) a year or less and since I wasn't fencing to win, I was sufficiently relaxed that I could usually see what they were doing and how to counter. If only I could do that with more advanced fencers....
I've ordered a cryo cuff for my elbow so I can do dual icings but I doubt it will arrive before SN.
This blows away most of my plans for next season. I was looking forward to the Mr. Ma Veteran's camp and unless a miracle happens, that's out.
Oh, well. Maybe he will offer one at a later time next season.
And on the job front, my supervisor andI are now on the same page concerning the tennis elbow problem.
