Time to update the description. WSV50 fencer since 2004. Mostly recovered from two meniscus tears in 2006 (not fencing related) and other minor injuries. Focused on improving fencing skills and avoiding injuries. Goal is to qualify for the WSV60 team in 2012.

In Fencing Journals Vocabulary Lesson Entry Tools Rate This Entry

Today's lesson included a brief vocabulary lesson.... and from a Russian no less.

Coach asked me a question regarding the action I was supposed to execute and I answered something to the effect that yes, I was supposed to go out.

So he says something like: After you leave here or after you unhook from competition, you can go out wherever you like but what I want you to do is go FORWARD.

Rimshot!

My fencing has been a mess since I went to St. Louis and then caught this stupid cold/flu/whatever. I've just switched drugs and hoping that it will clear up quickly.

I am not ready and I don't think I can be ready for the NAC-C within the time allotted. I seem to have hit some kind of peak about three weeks ago and immediately fell apart. Ack!
