Time to update the description. WSV50 fencer since 2004. Mostly recovered from two meniscus tears in 2006 (not fencing related) and other minor injuries. Focused on improving fencing skills and avoiding injuries. Goal is to qualify for the WSV60 team in 2012.
Yesterday, I only put in 30 minutes on the ET before hitting the hot tub (I had planned to use the pool but there were too many people in it). Today, I visited Mother and arrived home late and thus it was late when I arrived and I forgot stuff and then finally "oh, to heck with it!" and I blew off exercising to sit in the hot tub.
Tomorrow, fortunately, I have pilate class and cannot blow it off. I'm also planning to go to fencing practice.
Tonight, however, I am stuffing myself with caffeine and chocolate for multiple reasons. First of all, I have a deadline and I'm taking a break from that deadline now. I need to finish as much as possible tonight.
Second, I have a deadline from hell at work. It's the manual inventory. I've had to fill out a "lost or stolen" form for two pieces of equipment that have disappeared under my watch. I suspect they'll show up eventually and the employees with them will say they thought they'd checked them out properly but... I'm stuck at the moment.
Third, is also work-related and involved the process of disposing of stuff we can no longer use, which requires the expenditure of funds we do not have and the rules have changed and now the forms are online and there are times I really and truly hate online forms processes. You know it's bad when you start wishing for an offshore support person to be available to help you.
Fourth, and worst, I saw Mother today. The pneumonia is fading but so is Mother. Sometimes I don't know how much is bad hearing and how much is dementia.
Lord, please let me be as healthy at 92 as Don Appling appeared to be.
