WSV50 fencer since 2005. Meniscus tears in 2006 (not fencing-related). Injured the thumb ligament at Richmond, December 2006. Received medical clearance to ease back into fencing 4/30/07. Developed tennis elbow 6/2007 and I think that one's more work-related than fencing related. Sprained the middle finger on the right hand 9/2007. Injured the back 10/2007. Small tear in the right shoulder tendon (rotor cuff) diagnosed 11/19/2007. One of these days, I'm going to have a healthy year.

I still haven't figured out what caused the rather obvious food poisoning symptoms. I DID eat the other half of the sandwich today without getting sick and I also finished the second half of something else I'd eaten before the oh-my-gawd-how-far-to-the-bathroom symptoms hit.

I guess it's a good thing the Louisville competition scheduled for today was cancelled. I spent the day making calls from my home phone as a volunteer for Obama, using the online neighbor-to-neighbor tool.

On the plus side, I did manage to drop two of those three pounds I had gained in the last week.

Now about the reason for the weight gain: It's been a week since I gave up M&Ms. Yes. Again. What, you don't think I can do it this time?

There are no M&Ms in the house. I really don't like chocolate unless it's in M&Ms, an ice cream roll, or a Snicker's bar so there's nothing here to tempt me. Unfortunately, I tend to chew on things when I'm at the keyboard and that means I've eaten far too many grapes, peaches, etc. lately. Thus, the weight gain.
