How red is this state/county? The Libertarians once ran on the Democratic ticket because the state changed the filing deadline (but only for non-Democrats and non-Republicans) and no one was running for office on the Democratic ticket.

I usually don't vote in the local elections because the races are uncontested (except for the Libertarians). Also, I'm a government employee and thus subject to the Hatch Act. It's safest not to become involved in politics and thus not risk inadvertedly doing something that's not allowed.

So last night, I went to a meeting and I'm now a Republican for Obama.

Talk about doing something different in life! This -- for me -- is even more bizarre than deciding to learn to fence at age 52.

Given that this area was once one of the last modern times strongholds of the KKK Grand dragon and that we 'burbs are full of people who moved here to get away from all the blacks in the city, I predict it will be an uphill battle.

I cannot put a sticker on my car and park it in the parking lot at work (on federal property). I can, however, put up a yard sign on my private property.
