Yesterday was the hopefully last day of occupational therapy for the shoulder and elbow problems and when I asked how long I needed to continue doing the stretch exercises, the answer was "forever".

Sigh!

She recommended I make this a part of my regular routine so I guess that every morning for the rest of my life I will be going into the closet, kneeling on the floor, extending my arm, and bending my wrist back.

How is old age like Rice Krispies? Lots of snap, crackle, and pop.

lindajdunn Says:
I'm supposed to sit back on my heels twice a day to get the right knee to fully bend. Thus, it saves time to kneel and do the arm exercises at the same time.

I kneel in the closet because the closet has carpeting and it's far enough away from the bed that my activities won't wake my husband, whose work day begins three hours later than mine.

Maybe I missed it in a previous post. How does being in the closet help?

For that matter, how does kneeling help?
