I had eliminated all sugar and caffeine from my diet and while overall, I improved, I had this BLAH, LIFE IS NOT WORTH LIVING feeling. After reading some articles on chocolate, I decided to experiment with M&Ms.

Hey! If I'm going to sin, I going to pick a sin that I enjoy and while I dislike most chocolate, I LOVE M&Ms [and Snickers and chocolate ice cream roll].

Day 1 showed a decided bump in my annoyance level. Any little thing set me off. I'd compare it to PMS. I hated everyone.
Day 2 was leveling off and I was just pla ...More Read More

Tonnight's exercise was 20 minutes on upper body followed by 30 minutes on the ET followed by 10 minutes of icing followed by 15 minutes in the hot tub doing elbow exercises followed by 10 minutes doing upper body exercises. I'm now icing shoulder, elbow and knee.

I am extremely annoyed with an idiot at the moment.

January 8th, my husband was driving his car and was t-boned when he pulled into a grocery parking lot and another driver pulled out into his car. The police reports the other ...More Read More

Last night, we had a charity fenceathon in which the objective was to fence 5-touch bouts with as many fencers as possible. We had the gym from 530-10 and absolutely, positively, had to be out of there no later than 10. This proved not to be a problem because activity slowed about 730 and stopped completely before 9.

I'm still in the cannot-fence-worth-a-damn situation but began improving about the time everyone else was finishing. I lost 5-0 to one of our best fencers and won (for the fi ...More Read More

Weird Al Yankovick has a song titled, "One more minute with you."

One of the lines is:

I'd rather clean all the toilets in Grand Central Station by licking them out with my tongue than spend one more minute with you.

That's close to how I felt about visiting Mother today.

I really, really hate it.

After the brief visit, I escaped to the gym for the every other day light routine. Since the ETs were all in use, I spent 15 minutes using 5, 8, and 10 lbs weights on the upper body. ...More Read More

The daughter's roller derby team is now a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Last weekend, they had their first competition against a WFTDA team and won, 102-68. I wasn't there, but my husband was and he said that they had so many attendees that they had to warn attendees that it was standing room only and then turn people away because they simply could not let anyone else into the building. More, one of the stands threatened to give way during the event.

They had ...More Read More

Tuesday evening is when I visit Mother, so this is always a long and depressing day. Work, followed by a trip to the assisted living facility to visit Mother, followed by the trip to the gym. It was almost 8pm by the time I reached home and I'm supposed to stay up for two hours after eating (acid reflux) so I'm always a little sleep deprived the next morning.

I started off at the gym with some stretching exercises for the leg, ten squats, then off to the weight room for 5, 8 and 10 lb. wei ...More Read More

Is paved with good intentions.

I really, really, really want to get back to at least 19% body fat (where I was a year ago). However, my knee is swollen so badly that it looks pregnant with twins and thus I went to the gym today and did a light routine, iced the knee for ten minutes, and returned home to ice it again.

I'm still icing it and I'm wondering if I should take a chance with Advil again.
