So it's been two days sicne the surgery... The knee's still the size of a small watermelon and it's pretty painful when I try to move it or put my weight onto it. To be expected I guess. Not quite sure how teh surgery went - haven't gotten a chance to talk to teh surgeon afterwards, but I assume everything went according to plan. The last thing I remember was the anasthesiologist asking me what my favorite beer was, and when I asnwered with a definitive "Kilkenny," I was already in the post-op room. I'll do my best to hobble to work tomorrow - don't want to fall behind too much, plus I hope my Leon Paul FIE mask has arrived by now.
It'll definitely take a few more days before I'm comfortable enough to walk normally. I try to avoid taking the painkillers, but took one before sleep last night and had soem pretty weird dreams...
Let's just hope that I can recover and put some serious mileage into that new mask...
