I just can't find it. I have been slightly limping on and off for almost a week now. I have no idea exactly what I did to it, but I think it involves picking up heavy 5 gallon tubs of paint and moving them across the greater Charlotte area. I thought you should all know.
I did not make it to the tournament in New Bern last weekend. I am crazy disappointed about that. The trophy was gigantic. But unfortunately gas prices have officially affected my fencing. 6 hours away... just too long of a trip to justify going when I need to buy new equipment as well. It is probably for the best though. I ended up hanging out with the wife and her friend who had come into town this weekend. Drinking, hanging, and playing Trivial Pursuit and Fluxx. I love Fluxx, it is a fun game.
I also managed to see the new Indiana Jones movie. I will reserve judgment for that movie until another day I think. It was not what i expected.
As for fencing news, i have decided to take this month off from fencing. With my leg mysteriously hurt right now (and last week at fencing was no picnic with the pain let me tell you), the state of my economy (which includes a low paying job, a mortgage, and very high gas prices), the fact that my wife and I are seeing very little of each other lately, and I need to replace some gear... well it is a good time to take a break.
I still am going to try and make it to the NC State Games because I want to support this event and encourage everyone from NC, SC, and GA to come and participate. (Those in SC and GA can compete, despite the fact it is the NC State Games.) The event is already an A-rated event. Evidently competing in this event is the avenue to qualify for the Southeast games. Just for competing you qualify. It seems like a fun time, and there is drinking in Greensboro, right Thug?
That's really all that is going on right now. Thought I would catch you all up on the things going on in the life of Michael. Have a great week and happy fencing.
