Well, I got a call from Barrow last night and the message was that I am being referred over to another Dr in the group (the one who found the worm in the woman's brain in PHX last week.)

The funny thing is he is the guy who was supposed to have placed my stents three years ago and went on vacation the day I got there so someone else did it and of course "The Master" did my craniotomy. I only have a couple of more associates to hit in the group and have plenty of brain with which they can tinker.

The resident who left the message said, "he might be able to do this by placing a camera in." I immediately thought of having a Nikon with a telephoto placed in my head. I actually am cool with an endoscopy.

Recovery is much quicker and it is just another hole in a vessel, not removing 1/2 my head again. I am hoping an endoscopy is in the cards.

I want to do it next month for two reasons. The first is that I have aleady hit my maximum out of pocket for my insurance. (surprised?) The second is by hook or by crook I am going to be in ATL in March fencing. GD it, this whole thing has gone far enough. Let me fence for God's sake. I just want to be normal.

Besides, I am not due for surgery until 2009 if I keep to my schedule of brain surgery every other year. It would be cool to do it on the anniversary date of the stent placement.

I just hate to put my wife through this crap again.
