I just finished wrapping up the rest of my office and it is sitting around me in boxes and bubble wrap. I am the original measure once cut twice guy. I underestimated what I needed and it was like a trip to Home Depot. Good thing the box store is right across the street. If it ain't a three tripper...

I am still waiting for the paperwork from my doctor so I can go out on disability. Because if I don't officers, C level and down to a certain level of manager are getting permanent pay cuts. It would cut me 41%. They are going to a pay for performance system that was crafted by the current HR manager that I proposed 4 years ago and it is still on the HR drive.

These are supposed to be permanent cuts. I know they are cowtowing to thhis consultant who is his best fan. He is constantly reminding us that he sits on the boards of public companies. At the last BoD meeting he kept interrupting with "Other company secretaries/general counsels do this" F you buddy, you should have see this joint when I came in. I swear, if he told them it was safe to jump off the roof using a towel as a parachute they would believe him.

This morning in a pending I just got a copy of a secondary agreement that was executed along with a requirements contract I did that they changed without telling me and the new agreement completely smashes my defense.

I give up, I am so tired of this crap. Supporting DDand her BF and the twins. I don't care anymore.

I keep getting inspirational stories about people overcoming this or that. I'll tell you my answer, the same thing I told Scott. Although he is a hero and so are the people in the brain injury group. "Ok, these people have overcome tremendous obstacles, they amazing stories and I empathize with them, but you know what, I don't care. I cannot understand what they are experiencing any more than they know what is going on in my bean. Well, we share some experiences, but for the most part, we are on our own."

There is a new chair fencer coming in this weekend. He lost a leg in the mid east. I am sure his story is amazing, but he does not have faulty wiring and an exploding brain. I can't wait to fence him.

End of rant

I'm one of the few people who dislikes Helen Keller. Well... actually, I dislike the way some people mangle Helen Keller's story to prove their point that if SHE could do X, I can do Y. One person pointed out that she learned to speak French so I could certainly learn to pronounce my native language (English) correctly.

Just say Thank you politely to those people. Of course, TY does sometimes sound very much like FU when mumbled. Everyone has different challenges. Live your life the way that works for you and tell everyone else to go thank themselves.

Oi! I HATE guys like that. "We do this this way there and there, blah blah blah"... Ugh.

Regardless of how different experiences may be, the courage and hope they inspire are useful. That's why such stories are inspirational. You have your obstacles to overcome. Maybe things may not be as they once were, but you are alive. You've adapted this far, and so long as you keep at it, you'll prove to be an inspiration yourself. You already are, mate. So hang in there.

You have to remain hopeful. When there is still life there is hope. I wish you well.
