Who am I? I have a happy little existence with my husband, my large yellow lab & my two kittens. My dog is 100 lbs of bouncy joy. My male cat is addicted to "Greenies", catnip & thinks he's a dog. My female cat looks like a sweet housecat, but is a serial killer.
I took up fencing after I turned 40 & wanted to find a sport that would keep me active and fit into my old age.
I spend my time coaching beginners, training, & working at our vintage autosound business.

About Me
Note: Some of my blog entries are only available to my "Blog Buddies". They are either private in nature or about coaching. I make my coaching entries private becuase public entries can be read by the general public. While I never use names, the descriptions of the events can reveal information and I want to respect the privacy of my students. If you would like to be on my list, please PM me and I will add you.

How the hell did this become the most viewed blog entry in all of fencing.net?? It's not even about fencing and it's only a few weeks old! This site must be a secret lair for cat-fetishists...
It has brought to my attention that my "Epic War" entry has received 3038 views. I don't see this as remotely possible given the number of f-netter who visit the blog section.

I looked at the title and went "Doh", and realized that probably google contributed to about 3000 of the viewers. This was okay for me personally, as I am careful to not discuss much personal information in my public entries as I knew they are open to the public.

I thought this might be a good opportunity to mention this, as some of you might not be aware. Public entries can be read by anyone on the web. Not just F-net members. Private entries cannot. When you are writing in your blog it is the same as when you are posting on the forum. It is public.

Linda,
It looks like one of your entries (the one on chocolate) is the latest to be affected by this mysterious spurt of views.

I wonder if there isn't a mind at work here...

Jason, My first reaction was that it was a new software glitch... or the new software makes it easier for the search engines to find f-net.. who knows. I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind others about their blogs, in case they haven't figured it out.

Oh, drat! I'm going to go through my entries tonight to insure I didn't inadvertedly say anything I shouldn't. There's a few places where I've mentioned my mother and those should probably be made private.

Right after I noticed that about your entry, my own latest one shot up to crazy numbers. Over 16,000 views have been added since yesterday. I have exactly zero understanding about how that can happen. Plenty of blog entries have titles which google could pick up--including some of my own. But my latest entry seems to be the only one which was so heavily affected. Maybe it has something to do with the latest forum software update.

Although, on the other hand, it is an excellent entry...
