It was nice to see everyone up at the CBO this year. And by nice I mean it was nice to have connections back to showers after Sunday and a decent departure time from the venue.

Having fenced both events, the dichotomy of WS and MS was a good comparison. One of the last non-collegiate tournaments I went to had the women fencing both events on both days and that was a tragedy. I don't think I'll do that again.
One of the mistakes I made on Sunday was not utilizing my height or speed as much as I should have. Speed was definitely something that wasn't in my game on Saturday. Back to the practice room.
Speaking of fencing, I find it rather ironic that all the locals more or less fenced each other at the open. The WS bracket on the other side had three of us fencing each other off. Sunday, guess who I fenced bigdawg...again. woe is me, I'll never escape NC.

The directing was interesting, too. Some refs used interesting words, other refs made me want to ask what the meaning of life was, and finally, it seemed that no matter how loudly the refs yelled, their voices were lost in the gym. I'm not sure if a PA would've helped at all because of the buildling's structure. The natural sunlight was great and Sunday had gorgeous weather. The directors were were also very dashing. I particularly admired the tie and shirt combinations across the board.

btw, I think the Absolute FIE signature line is lovely. A bit shiny, and off-white but the cut is nice, excellent stretch.
I wore my HUGE Allstar knickers that got passed down to me from a graduate. I think the waist size is for someone with very thin thighs and a huge gut. My knickers were spilling out from under my jacket. Re-tailored my Uhlmann knickers and plan on switching back. Despite the large size of the allstars, I couldn't stretch in them.
