My cousin weighs MAYBE 72 lbs at 14, maybe about 5'4"? Doctors found protein and sugar in her urine. While female bodies absorb calcium until 24-25 years of age, I'm afraid she's already missed most of her critical window for growth. Putting sunscreen on her back was sad, scary. I can already see her slipping and breaking something at a very young age. She didn't understand why I made her eat egg yolks at breakfast. I wonder how they teach nutrition over there.
I only had two days to teach her the basics of staying afloat in water. I threw swimming out the window after I learned that the one time she did try to learn, an instructor forced her head under water when she needed air. That would scare anyone. As soon as the water touched her chin, she lost everything I taught her about form and efficiency and flailed. I ended the last day with having her tread back and forth across the width of the pool. The water was warm, but her lips were blue and her jaw chattered because she has little to no body fat.
My main club closed down until school starts back up again, so the only other locals require a minimum 25 minute drive. It isn't bad, except I was so tired last night, I missed my exit and had to drive an extra few miles to get back home. It was fun, had the windows rolled down, and jamming to some good tunes on the radio. None of that fancy XM stuff.
I'm always surprised by what I manage to retain despite having not having fenced consistently. This happens during the summers, though now that I've graduated I wonder if this is something that'll become normal. Distance was horrible; making good actions in the wrong space aren't good actions. Make sense? That being said, I was all over the place; swinging, over penetrating, had a few very ideal opportunities for an immediate riposte after the other fencer was off-balance...but I was off-balance too. poop.
Nicely enough, many of the people I fenced last night were very close to my height, if not taller. Definitely challenged me.
