I don't know how sensible my weight program is, or if it is supported by the latest research. I just know it pays off despite being nothing like what I see in the media.

I only use the machines, for instance, and don't do free weights for the most part. I try to lift slowly and through a full range without hyperextending. All of that is what I've been told by trainers I've worked with.

There has been a moratorium on fencing/spending money in my household for over a year now. I continued to have some contact with fencing by being the secretary of the division this past year, but I'm only fooling myself. I have handed the books over to the next secretary.

If you can't fence, you can't watch the game. If you can't watch the game you're out of practice refereeing, and then there's no point in studying for referee rating... you get my drift. Frustrating!
