    or wait... is Sabre the dark side? I don't remember. I'm going back to Epee.

    I only switched to foil because I didn't have any epeeists at my club anymore (who would actually get up and fence). Now that I've been in AZ a while I've seen, that I'm not getting anywhere with foil. I mean, I've renewed my C, fenced pretty well at times, but my fencing isn't getting any better, and when I look at video of my foil, I don't look that much like a foilist.   2. Fencing in Arizona...

    So, ever since I moved to Arizona fencing has been a different beast for me. I'm not getting coaching (yet), I'm only going to fencing twice a week at most, and there aren't that many foilists to practice with. I went to one tournament in San Bernadino, and that was a lot of fun (I won and renewed my C), but so far the tournaments in AZ have been pretty small (15 or less) and it hasn't seemed worth the money. I'm looking forward to fencing more when ASU starts up again; I am going to try to fence ...

  3. What to think about while on the strip, between bouts, etc.

    I just read the article posted on fnet about choking (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/20...-choking/all/1). It really got me wondering what I should be thinking about when I am fencing. I recently had a good fencing weekend, I won a tournament, and fenced well in another. I'm trying to remember what and how much I was thinking at that time, and how I should apply that to when I'm fencing and when I'm practicing. Here are my thoughts.
