    by , 06-20-2009 at 09:57 PM
It rained all the way up and we lost an hour due to an accident on the Tappan Zee bridge. We checked into the Home Suites. The room was damp, the air conditioner didn't turn on, the floor lamp was broken, the beds looked lumpy, the carpet had a weird speed bump in it, and the whole room looked beat up. After a pretty mediocre meal at the Naked Fish, we came back to the room, looked around, made reservations at the Marriott in Newton where we used to stay when we visited our daughter at Brandeis, ...

  2. Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

    by , 06-20-2009 at 07:55 PM (Greybeard's Brain Blog)
It was kind of strange at the club. I walk in and only my chair is in the frame. Scott is really gone. Right now he is making his way to DC to start his new job. I really do wish him the best.

The back of my chair was there but she is still working on the cushion part. It was much easier on the kidneys an of course, I didn’t have to worry about falling out the back.

It was kind of a ghost town at the club today and the usual AB’s that I fence were not there, so I had ...

  3. Thursday practice

  5. Rollin'

by , 06-18-2009 at 03:30 AM (My training log)
    Three weeks of consistent training......

In MA. NH present. AL AWOL.

    Drilled, including wall drills.

NH said that we should start doing the Nellya warm-up again next week.... I agreed that it would be good for us (even though my lazy side cringed....)

Fenced 4 x (3x5 touches), with breaks in between. Much, much improved--no huffing and puffing after two touches, stronger, better footwork, etc. Amazing what a little regular training can do ...
