    Two years ago, I missed the two tournaments I'd most looked forward to - the PdF Memorial Day Round Robin and the Pomme de Terre. Busy recuperating from knee surgery for a torn meniscus. I swore I'd make it to both the year after that. Instead, I was busy recuperating from a shin splint (the MDRR) and then a broken foot (the PdT). I even missed the Vets' Challenge in the fall.     Ok so I have decided to finally get off my ass and do something about ... my ass. It follows me everywhere and my new home has full length mirrors..

    It's like I'm getting boned in the ass by the Michelin man my ass is so huge. My dogs routinely bite me in the ass and say... "Fooled me again... thought it was a marshmallow of infinite size"

    If you've seen John Pinette, the comedian in "I'm Starvin", well, I dont LOOK like him but our conception of buffets ...

    Fencing was quiet. Marcus seems to be home for the summer (he took third in the Mr. Ma), and so does John, and Kane is back fencing (she did the women's foil yesterday), so the foil entertainment quality was higher. Sabre was sparse--we had Tony, Dave, Mike, and me, and later on, Donna. I fenced Tony twice, and Mike and Dave once each. The first time I fenced Tony, the score was close, but after I warmed up and fenced Dave, I was able to do better. My main task with Tony is not to let getting ...

    How much time is enough? I just read a magazine article by a neurologist who had a stroke and then took 8 years to get to a point where she wanted. She talks a lot about rewiring your brain to function, how she used the right side (unaffected) to really appreciate everything more and how she uses the creativity of the right brain side to learn to look at things in a new light.
