OK, so maybe I did need to come to the tournament. It was certainly an experience getting my bag and chair to Atlanta, but we got here. I was met by a BB friend whom I had never met before. She and her husband got me to the hotel and then we drove over to the venue to get my equipment checked in by the armorers. Only one body cord failed and everything else was groovy. Well, I have established that I can still fence competitively even when I stink on ice and can't use my right hip--and, according to the video, am taking big steps and moving like a trash truck.
