  1. Monday night fencing

    I had a long and hectic day and barely made it to fencing, and when I got there only Tony was there and I wasn't sure it was worth it. However, Mike came soon afterwards, and then Kiersten, Tate, Donna, and a couple of others, so we had enough for a couple of strips. I fenced Mike, Kiersten, Donna, Tony, and one of the other guys who actually usually fences foil.     I've been getting into my own head lately. Couple of times, i'll work on clearing my mind and getting the perfect lunge. A perfect lunge means something different to someone who's been fencing for 6yrs than it does to someone fencing for 6months, btw. Anyway, i'm playing out situations in my head, and trying to get the most dynamite lunges I can, and upon execution, i find that my )(&*^&* blade bends the wrong way like 75% of the time when I hit a wall or dummy.     I finished the last of the antiboditics but have not yet finished with coughing and sneezing. Still, I'm in a lot better shape than I was 2-3 weeks ago.

    I'm no longer waking up my husband by imitating a seal, barking for fish every few minutes.

    I'm no longer viewed suspiciously by co-workers who are certain I'm trying to spread H1N1.

    I'm no longer carrying around about 8 lbs. of unwanted weight that is making me feel like a stopped-up slug.
