  1. Monday's boring exercise log

    I hate water, but I'm convinced that this walking-in-the-water exercise is helping the knee so after putting in 30 minutes on the ET and icing my knee, I walked 10 laps in the swimming pool. I followed this with 2 laps lunging, being careful to extend my weapon arm first and doing my best to push the arm through the water as quickly as possible. Yes, I'm trying to improve my arm speed. If there's a better way to do this without stirring up the shoulder and/or the tennis elbow, I don't know what ...

    Well, I have returned home for the semester, gotten my final grades, and sense then relaxed. I haven't posted in a pretty long time because I got really busy with finals and stuff like that.

    Academic stuff:

    I kicked some ass this year. My first year I should have done better. First semester of last year I had a 3.3, then second semester I had a 3.55, putting me on the deans list. (deans list at GMU is 3.5 or higher). So I ended my freshman year with around a 3.4. ...

  3. OMG, am I Happy Gilmore???

    This past weekend was the second annual Montessori 101 Challenge in Waukesha. It's not a big tournament, but it's closeby and fun people. Saturday I sucked in foil. I held my own in mixed but by the time women's foil came up I was on fumes, so I didn't place at all-- unless you count the booby prize.
    I think epee is slow and kind of boring, and I really don't want it to affect my foiling in a negative way. To get the numbers up to a rated tournament I did play. Much to my surprise and ...
