I finished 8th in a competition of 10 or 11 today and the bottom line is that almost every parry I made went to the other guy. Why? Because I obviously didn't parry correctly. If I am parrying so badly that each director (and there were multiple directors) calls it the other person's parry-riposte, then I am doing it wrong. The introductory yoga class follows another yoga class in the same space that starts at 10:00 and goes to 11:30. The other yoga class consistently goes over its allotted time, so we all stand in the stairwell chatting. I would have thought the maybe things were going to change but I guess not. For the second time in ten years I have seen the EC violate the bylaws of its corp and watch the membership get blind sided. The first time was the PFL and the changing of the BOD so that what we were doing to try and change fencing for an amateur and pro league would not be able to happen again.
