My club fenced senior team foil on Tuesday, which was great fun. We beat Utah Valley for the first round, and many of the things we've been working on in drill and lesson were exactly the ticket for drawing out their attacks. Last night I received the news that I had been elected Vice Chairman of my USFA division's Executive Committee. El Chucko was elected Chairman and he has a lot of things he wants to do in the division. It should be fun. I am back at fencing (epee) tomorrow night. I've been doing my stretching exercises and the PF in my left foot is slowly getting better. Arch supports help a lot! I'm going to try to go easy on it, but holding back is not my forte.

I was in enough pain from my knee yesterday, and from my foot, that I decided to bag fencing tonight. I'll be traveling tomorrow, and off Wednesday (I'm going to check my stuff and then go do some things), so I hope my various bones will be behaving themselves by the time the IA rolls around on Thursday. My podiatrist suggested I get a cortisone injection before Nationals but I turned him down, and I'm vaguely wondering if I should have taken him up on it.
No fencing news to report as the Salle is closed for a few days (Independence day holiday) and I am giving my foot some time to start healing before jumping back into the fray.
