    A colleague stopped by my room to talk to me, so I was a minute late for meeting up with my boys. When I got there, they had all gone ahead except John, who was a little tardy--they apparently assumed I was ahead of them. John and I sauntered along and talked, taking one of two routes to the college gym, and when we got there about five of the boys weren't there--they had gone back the other way to look for me.

  2. Practice Exam Question 59

    As a sabre fencer, I NEVER see time expire with a tied score and while I would expect the fencers to be placed at the on guard line, I'd like to find the CORRECT answer.

    Question 59: If time expires with a tied score in either a pool or direct elimination bout, the fencers are replaced on guard:
    a. At the position occupied by the fencers at the end of the previous round
    b. At the on guard line.
    c. If the score is tied, the fencers take up the positions occupied ...

    Continuing Ed. Programs

    If you are running a club or are looking for a way to start getting people interesting in fencing one option that you can use is continuing education programs. These are hosted by many colleges and universities. All you have to do is go and ask if you can offer the program. A couple of the concerns of course are going to be space and equipment.

    Most of the continuing ed classes take place at night so usually there will be at least a classroom ...

  4. 2006 Practice Exam - #53

    I decided to go through the new practice exam and update my flash cards even though I don't need to take the exam again for another year. IMHO, the exam is a good review and I figured going through this would bring me up to speed on those things I never see in practice but which sometimes occurs at competitions.
