So a few weeks ago I was doing a weekend camp with the national coach and a handful of other juniors. It was a good little camp and a lot of fun; however, there was one little problem. I am very inflexible and this new coach is really into stretching. Combine this with the fact that he's a pretty funny, good-natured guy to begin with and he spent a lot of the camp laughing at my inability to touch my toes. I was checking out a kenpo place near my house last night. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while, and I'm going to try taking lessons there. The instructor was a nice guy, seemed pretty laid back, but I noticed that his students were a bit uptight about etiquette. "Yes, sir; thank you, sir," etc. He also talked about people that had taught him, and the people that had taught them, etc, always refering to them as "Great Grandmaster," "Grandmaster" or ...
All I want for Christmas is my old, 2006 health back. I don't care about the appearance, I just want the functionality and lack of pain restored. I've been icing the knee as much as possible and I am freezing cold alll the way through. On the plus side, I can now sit back on my heels.
