    by , 11-30-2007 at 09:05 PM

We get twenty minutes if I hustle them over & back--that's okay, but I'll see if I can get one of the school vans for two days a week so we can practice more. They're a cheerful bunch and don't complain too much. Henry L. forgot his sneakers so I couldn't let him do any footwork; he said he understood (he does gymnastics and has turned his ankle at least once), but he's bizarrely ADHD and when ...

    Discovered protein shake upsets stomach.

Added after returning to a full keyboard:

The class was a good, informative one and this is one of the few times when I actually went places beside the class and the hotel. Upon arriving, a co-worker (from another state) picked me up in the rental car and asked if I'd mind going to the Big Basin to see the redwoods. Last time I owned the outer side of his arm. Last night he owned mine. MM (relative newbie to epee) was keeping up with me until the last few points. Coach K beat me handily 15-3.

I have been trying to "own the piste" recently. Last night I didn't own anything. I'm not sure what my problem is ...

And remember Mr. Pouty, it has only been 6 months since the surgery. I of course look at it and say, “For God’s sake, it has been six months already.”

My wife and I have been talking ...

  5. The end of another semester

    by , 11-29-2007 at 11:10 AM
Over the years, I have gotten into the habit of having a glass of wine most evenings. I started when I was trying to lose some weight and the glass of wine proved to be a more calorie conscious choice than a peanut butter sandwich and some cookies and some cheese and crackers and whatever else was laying around - just before going to bed. Also, if I am to believe current urban legend, a glass of red wine is good for the heart.

That being said, I am fairly certain that it ...
