In a drenching rain and profound fog, I drove up to Medeo for their January 1 sabre open, arriving barely on time because I was driving about 60 the whole way on the turnpike and 287. There were a number of cars in the median and on the verge of the turnpike, obviously having hydroplaned off the highway trying to drive the normal 75-80. We had eleven people for the women's event.
