Very soon the US Fencing Association will shutter the current web site at usfencing.org and direct traffic to the new site at fencing.teamusa.org. The move, expected to occur on January 1st comes after a great deal of planning and preparation. Sada Jacobson and Nellya Fencers in Atlanta were featured on CNN Headline News Health Minute which aired Monday December 19th. The USFA released the following information via email and a forum post today: US Fencing is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Aichele as its new Executive Director. Kurt brings sport, for-profit and not-for-profit experience to the association.
Rebecca Ward was honored at the FIE Congress on December 6th as the 2007-2008 World Cup Champion. Ward earned this distinction by earning the most points in Senior World Cup competition in women's sabre during the 2007-2008 season which concluded at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
