Ioan Pop is the Technical Director for the International Fencing Federation (FIE).

Serge Timacheff of FencingPhotos.com caught up with Mr. Pop at the 2008 Junior and Cadet World championships to discuss the advances in fencing technologies that have brought us the "wireless" scoring systems and also discuss the newest changes to foil.

Serge interviews Ioan Pop of the FIE at the 2008 Cadet and Junior World Fencing Championships. This interview covers the advances in technology over the last few years which are culminating in the reelless systems used at the World Championships and Olympic Games.
