Cincinnati USA Fencing NAC A – Travel and Hotel Guides
USA Fencing will be holding it’s first North American Cup (NAC) event of the 2010-2011 season in Cincinnati, Ohio from October 15th-18th at the Duke Energy Center.
We went out to find some more information on the NAC, flights and hotels to put that all in one location for you. (The US Fencing page shows an updated discount code where you can get 5% off of your flight from United Airlines. See Brad’s comment below.)
(In case you’re wondering, there are affiliate links here. We’ve checked bookings with and without our code and you get the same deal either way. By purchasing through our links, you help support all of the other things we do in terms of reporting and coverage of the sport.)

Book your Flight to Cincinnati
Tips on booking your flight: You want to get in early the day before your event to have time to get oriented and get your equipment checked. Don’t wait until the day of your event to get your gear checked, especially if you have the early start time! On your flight back out, give yourself plenty of time – the best is to fly out the day after your event.

Edit: Had a bad link in there for flights. Extreme embarrassment ensued and that got fixed. I also added in the affiliate link disclaimer up at the top.

“While the national office has put together some travel deals with United Airlines, those don’t work for any flights coming out of Atlanta or other major cities. ”
I just followed the links off of the website and ran a test booking for ATL-CVG 10/14-10/18. Some of the displayed fares offer the 5% United discount. That said, I found other fares (from the same search) which were not discounted that were even cheaper ($158 round-trip, which really doesn’t allow for much discounting room).
Make sure that the link uses discount code “565ED”. Originally many (all?) of the links erroneously had “565EA” instead, which merely returns an error message when searches were attempted.

Brad,
Thanks. The links we had were using the “565EA” code. I’ll update the post then to reflect the United status.
